ASSET MAINTENANCE PLANNING PRINCIPAL ENGINEER

Key Responsibilities:

Reports to the Asset Maintenance Planning Supervisor. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise in planning of the O&M asset reliability projects and maintenance programs including asset management, project proposition/application, cost allocation, cost benefit and cost to risk reduction analyses and risk-based prioritization. Monitors the completion of reliability projects and maintenance programs and provides reports in terms of physical and financial measures. Acts as resource person for anyone in the functional group in matters within the scope of the section.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

 

1. O&M Project Planning and Management

* Provides technical expertise in theplanning and monitoring of reliability projects (asset installation /replacement) and maintenance programs. 

2. O&M Financial Planning and Management

* Provides technical expertise for theprovision of budgetary requirement and implementation of reliability projects(asset installation / replacement) and maintenance programs. 

3. O&M Billing Settlement Administration

* Provides technical expertise in the review,assessment, processing, submission and monitoring of billings of vendors /suppliers / contractors.

4. Development of Policies, Procedures andStandards

* Provides technical expertise in thedevelopment and/or enhancement of policies, procedures and standards inrelation to the business context of the division. 

5. Representation to Internal and ExternalInstitutions

* Provides technical expertise in thepreparation of responses, justifications, clarifications, supporting documents,presentation materials related to the planning of reliability projects andmaintenance programs for presentation to internal and external customers.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • Licensed Engineer (EE, ECE, CE)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience, preferably on planning, project management, billing, and asset management
  • Knowledge in regulatory, commercial, and financial policies and procedures
  • Technical knowledge in power systems
  • Knowledge in asset management
  • Knowledgeable with O&M Standards and Procedures
  • Proficient in SAP Management and Office 365 applications
