Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Technical Reliability & Oversight Manager, the successful candidate will execute Technical Oversight & Reliability Division’s (TORD) technical lifecycle oversight framework for Transmission and Sub-transmission Assets across all stages—from planning and procurement to operation, maintenance, and disposal—to ensure engineering reliability, traceability, and compliance with NGCP standards. Conducts lifecycle audits, root cause investigations, inspection validations, and performance evaluations to confirm adherence to technical standards, engineering specifications, recommendations from manufacturers, and contractual requirements. The position assists the lead/chief engineers in the oversight controls across all lines of defense, ensuring that audit findings and lessons learned drive continuous technical improvements and strengthen NGCP’s asset value and governance objectives. It also contributes to the advancement in the use of digital audit tools, data-driven verification methods, and technology-enabled inspection processes to improve oversight accuracy, consistency, and reliability across the asset lifecycle.
Participates in the conduct of root cause and failure mode analyses on major system events or asset deterioration to guide preventive maintenance programs and operational improvements.
Assists in the validation and verification of asset lifecycle records by ensuring consistency between Enterprise Asset Management(EAM) data, field inventories, and as-built documentation in compliance with NGCP standards and SEIL requirements.
Participates in the conduct of lifecycle audits, inspection reviews, and compliance verification activities, consolidating findings and coordinating with concerned units to implement corrective and preventive actions to ensure standards adherence and continuous improvement.
Conducts systematic follow-up audits and validation reviews to verify the implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions from previous audit findings and ensure sustained compliance with technical standards and procedures.
Participatesin the integration of resilience criteria into audit checklists and post-eventevaluations
Provides support in the analysis of audit and inspectiondata to identify vulnerabilities affecting grid continuity.
Requirements:
Registered Electrical Engineer (REE)
At least three (3) years of satisfactory professional experience in the electricity industry in the Philippines, particularly in transmission business operations, including roles in system operations, project management, standards development, engineering or related areas
Proficiency in power system theories, applications andtechnical standards
Knowledge of technical assessment and failure analysis ofequipment
